Strategy Process

Strategy process in the strategic management field serves as a core competence for overall management of any company or organization, in taking steps for its future After taking this subject students are expected to understand the roles of top management in forming, executing, and changing strategies, and implication for middle management implementation; understand different organizational contexts and different modes of strategy formation and execution; know the state-of-the art of research strategy process; able to design a research proposal in the domain of the strategy process. Strategy process focuses on the factors that influence the formulating and executing strategy and its change; which extend to implementing functional strategies. The area of study draws from diverse perspectives, including competitive strategy, intra-organizational evolution, inter-organizational collaboration, power/politics, knowledge management, organizational learning, socio-cognitive theory and others.
