After taking this subject students are expected to possess knowledge such as: 1) competitive strategy theories especially in the era of globalization, 2) industrial organization economics, 3) resource based view, 4) market based view and game theory (both cooperative and non-cooperative). Additionally, students are expected to be capable of using various analytical tools. This course discusses the dynamics of competition based on the early development of the theory, the last (the frontier) of theories that have already been established in the field. Dynamics of competition arise from moves and countermoves, short term and long term of the businesses, in order to create competitive advantage. Discussions will be held using journals and related textbook.
